The 4th At Wagner Park
All congregations and Sunday schools of Sidney and Shelby county are invited to take part in the picnic and celebrate the glorious 4th and the opening of the beautiful Wagner park. Conveyances will start from the square and carry people going to the park at 5 cents a person. Sidney Daily News, July 1

Sidney’s 4th
Sidney was a very quiet place Wednesday for the Fourth of July. The majority of the business houses were closed and a great many went out of the city to spend the day. Large crowds spent the day at Lima, Dayton, Quincy, Greenville, and Piqua and a great many spent the day with picnic parties in the many groves around Sidney and along the river. In the evening fire crackers enlivened the homes of many of the residents. Shelby County Democrat, July 6

These Legs Are Made for Walking
George Schrock has a four legged chicken on exhibition at Perry H. Bailey’s stove store. The chicken uses the four legs in walking. Sidney Daily News, July 2

Abuse Charge Follows Too Much Work
The "Anti-trust Barber Shop" cut forty six heads of hair Saturday and Saturday night. Sidney Daily News, July 2.  R.W. ____, proprietor of the "Anti-trust" barber shop on west Poplar street, was arrested last evening by Chief of Police O’Leary on a charge of disorderly conduct and fighting with his wife Sunday evening. He was taken before the Mayor, where he pleaded guilty and was fined $1 and costs. Sidney Daily News, July 3
