Beginning in September, the Shelby County Historical Society will remember the Vietnam War with an exhibit and programs.  The kickoff event will be a Healing Field of flags, held from September 1-12 at Custenborder Field in Sidney. 

A flag can be purchased by individuals or businesses in honor of their military or local (police, firefighter, EMS) hero.  Flag sponsors are able to honor veterans both living and deceased from all wars.  The cost to honor your hero is only $30 and the flag will be returned to you after the event.  All the flags will be labeled, displayed in a strategic manner, and receive proper flag etiquette at all times.
